The Importance of Grounding

The importance of Grounding

You may have heard about grounding or seen people walking very intentionally, barefoot. You might have even seen people doing this at Deer Lake Lodge. It’s called earthing (also known as grounding), and it refers to contacting the Earth's surface to gain energy. Specifically, by walking outside without shoes or socks, you can absorb the Earth’s electrons. Yes, the negatively charged energy from the Earth can positively transfer into your body.

According to https://www.healthline.com/health/grounding, Grounding, also called earthing, is a therapeutic technique that involves doing activities that “ground” or electrically reconnect you to the earth.

Clint Ober is a grounding specialist. He cites benefits such as better health, better sleep, and less stress. It’s also very helpful for those who have autoimmune issues.

Walking barefoot Grounding is not hard! It’s really as simple as going outside and walking barefoot. Whether you walk on grass, sand, or even mud, allowing your skin to touch the natural ground can provide you with grounding energy. At Deer Lake Lodge, we promote grounding as one of the ways to find clarity and vision as well as increased relaxation.
